European-standard dust-proof carrier selection: matching inner width and bend radius

From travel length and fill ratio to bend radius, a practical checklist for engineers evaluating localization alternatives.

In industrial automation and CNC upgrades, cable carrier selection directly affects cable life and machine stability.

First confirm inner width and fill ratio: the total cable cross-section should generally stay below 60% of the carrier cavity, with extra margin for high-speed motion. Next, choose a bend radius no smaller than the cable maker’s recommended minimum—European-standard dust-proof carriers typically offer several R values.

For dusty CNC and molding environments, prefer fully enclosed covers and review pin materials and wear-resistant side plates. After selection, bench life testing can validate reliability at no less than 15 million cycles.
